EFTM Covers ChargeCore Semi Solid State Range
Battery safety is at the centre of EFTM's coverage of Laser's new ChargeCore semi solid state power banks. Writing on 20 October 2026, Daniel Tyson explores the arrival of the technology in Australia and the three capacity options joining the ChargeCore range.
A focus on safety and peace of mind
The report follows Laser's move into semi solid state batteries after introducing LiFePO4 power banks last year. Laser Managing Director Chris Lau told EFTM that the company had followed the technology's development for several years, with advances now allowing it to move into smaller, more compact products.
Explaining his confidence in the new battery chemistry, Chris said:
“Simply put, I believe that Semi Solid State chemistry makes this the safest powerbank technology available in Australia today.”
Chris Lau, Managing Director of Laser, quoted by EFTM
Chris also highlighted safety and peace of mind as priorities for Laser, reflecting the concerns Australian consumers have when choosing a power bank.
Three capacities for everyday charging
The new range combines semi solid state batteries with USB charging and a digital display showing the remaining battery level. Choose the capacity and charging output that suit your devices and time away from a power point:
- ChargeCore 10K 20W - Black: 10,000mAh capacity with up to 20W USB-C output for compatible devices.
- ChargeCore 20,000mAh - Black: more battery capacity, with up to 20W USB-C Power Delivery.
- ChargeCore 27,000mAh 35W: the largest capacity in this range, with up to 35W USB-C Power Delivery.

Actual charging speed depends on your device, cable and charging conditions. Available charging power is shared when multiple devices are connected.
