Do I need to plug this monitor into a wall power outlet?

The monitor does not have a built-in battery. It is designed to draw power directly from your connected device (like a laptop) via the USB-C cable. However, if your device does not provide enough power, or if you are using the HDMI connection, you will need to connect the monitor to an external USB wall adapter for power.

Why is the touch screen or video not working with my USB-C cable?

For a single-cable setup, your device's USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode (for video) and Power Delivery (for power). The cable itself must also support video and data transfer, such as the 60W USB-C charge and sync cable included in the box. If your device does not support DisplayPort Alternate Mode, you will need to use the HDMI cable for video and a separate USB connection for touch and power.
